On behalf of the Editorial Board and myself, we are pleased to present the Issue 3, volume 5 of the Journal of Dental Research and Review. In addition, I am pleased to announce that, I have taken over the charge of Editor-in-Chief from this issue onwards.
This journal focuses to bring into light high-quality research that is evidence based with clinical relevance. That not only educates but also updates the latest trends in patient diagnosis and management in accordance with the latest dental innovations and technologies.
Our Journal's vast versatility in Dentistry makes it appealing to authors and readers. The main aim of the journal is to help the junior and senior researchers to disseminate their research findings to the health community. Research always adds new information to the literature. One must always aim at the publication of their research findings. Even if it is small contributing information, it is worth publishing. Negative results are not deterrent for publication. Even a small piece of information, if published can help prevent repetition of research
This issue particularly has two articles, that stresses the importance of conducting ethical dental research, the ethical/IRB permission needed to conduct a study, and the documents needed to be attached to the research proposal for obtaining ethical clearance. I request all the researchers to take ethical principles of conducting research seriously.
As the Editor in Chief, It is my earnest request to all the authors to understand, follow and stick to the Journal guidelines while submission of a new manuscript. If that is strictly followed, the processing time for peer review is hastened if the manuscript is as per the scope of the journal.
Another request to the authors is to strictly adhere to the criteria of authorship as prescribed by the ICMJE (www.icmje.org) to validate that a person who wishes to be an author of the manuscript qualifies for the same as per the guidelines of ICMJE.
We assure all our distinguished authors and readers that there would be a speedy response from the editorial level as we commit to be prompt.
We invite your comments and suggestions for this journal as we are committed to maintaining a quality of professional excellence of dentistry not only in our country but globally as well.
